MY APPROACH
.jpg)
A bit more theory..
My Integrative training means that I draw on a number of theories and therapeutic work and I am able to cater for the specific needs of each person. I include in my work:
-
Psychodynamic theory
-
Attachment theory
-
Systemic theory
-
Person-Centred approaches.
-
Gestalt Theory
-
Transactional Analysis
-
I also build continuously on my self awareness, CPD and good use of supervision.
It is often through the relationship that is built between the therapist and client that I can identify and support the client in how they are feeling and process and express stuck emotions. It's aslo a way of identifying patterns that might be playing out in relationships outside of the therapy room. An understanding of these together can give rise to internal and external changes that help people to feel happier and healthier.

The work is client centered and we work on what the client wants to talk about however we may within this explore practices outside of the therapy room that can aid growth.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and have met their standards of proficiency for private work and I practise within their ethical framework. I have professional indemnity insurance in place.
